May 12th, my sister, Emersyn, turns 34 🎉 and we'll be strapping on (our mom's) tool belts for a Women's Build with Habitat for Humanity, and honestly, it feels like exactly the right way to celebrate. 🛠️ We're doing it in honor of our mom, MJ, who we lost in January. Habitat meant a lot to her. She believed everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home and that regular people have the power to make that real. She went on multiple Jimmy Carter builds and volunteered countless hours but always made a point to show up for the women's builds wherever she was living. So this one's for her. We'll be swinging hammers and probably getting humbled by how little we know about construction, but we'll be there. 😄 If you want to help a family get the keys to a home they can actually afford, I'd love your support.
