Hi everyone, This year, I’m participating in Women Build with Habitat for Humanity, and I’m really excited to be part of something that brings women together to create lasting impact in our community. In my day-to-day work as a Controller for a local general contractor, I spend a lot of time behind the scenes with budgets, projections, and financials. While that work is important, I’ve always wanted to deepen my understanding of how things actually come together in the field. Women Build gives me the opportunity to step outside of my usual role, pick up a hammer, and learn firsthand how homes are built. But even more importantly, this experience is about supporting other women. I’m proud to work for a woman-owned company, and I’ve seen the strength and leadership that women bring to our industry and our community. Women Build is an opportunity to extend that support even further by helping create safe, stable, and affordable housing for women-led households right here in our area. Homeownership can be life-changing. It creates stability, security, and opportunity not just for individuals, but for families and future generations. Being able to contribute, even in a small way, means a lot to me. If you’re able to donate, I would truly appreciate your support.
