A Message From Anne O’Donovan

I have been wanting to participate in Habitat’s Women Build for a number of years and I am finally available for this year’s build. Nearly 70% of Greater Portland Habitat homes in general are for single mothers, as their need is that significant. The Women Build project is very special as it allows women to come together to build a home for a mother in need. I would appreciate your support to make this year’s build in Standish, Maine a huge success.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland partners with low-income families to provide them safe, affordable, and decent housing. This is accomplished through two primary programs. In the homeownership program, families earn a low-interest mortgage as we build them new homes from the ground up using volunteer labor. Our Critical Home Repair program provides affordable home repairs to make the client's home warmer, safe, or drier.
