The Fundraising Page of Amy Weiseman

I am participating in Habitat for Humanity Greater Portland’s annual Women Build event. This program is more than just a construction project—it’s about empowering women to take the lead in building a foundation for their families. I’ll be joining a team of local women during the month of May, to help build a safe, affordable home for a local family. Did you know that over 70% of Habitat homeowners are women? I am participating because I believe every woman deserves the strength and stability that comes with owning her own home. I recall buying my first home, and how wonderful it felt. I was fortunate enough to have assistance from my mother for the down payment; and am very aware many women do not have that as an option. Part of the event is to help with fundraising, and I’ve set a personal goal to raise $1,000—which goes directly to materials needed to build much needed homes here in Maine.
