In 2010, my life changed in ways I could never have fully prepared for. Going through a divorce while raising two young children was both the most challenging and the most defining chapter of my life. In those early days, the weight of responsibility felt overwhelming—but I knew one thing for certain: my children needed a safe, stable home. A home is so much more than wood, sheetrock, windows, and doors. It’s the place where laughter echoes down the hall, where tears are met with comfort, and where dreams are nurtured. It’s where my children learned to ride out life’s storms and celebrate its sunshine. That home became our anchor—a space of safety, security, and love where we could heal, grow, and create memories that still warm my heart today. Now, my children are grown—living independent, successful lives of their own. I couldn’t be prouder of the people they’ve become. With this new chapter, I find myself with more time and energy to give back. I believe deeply in the power of lifting others up, because I know firsthand how much a helping hand can mean when life feels uncertain. Whether it’s offering encouragement, sharing resources, or simply showing up for someone, giving back is my way of honoring the support and kindness that helped me along the way. Life has taught me that when we invest in people—when we help them feel safe, valued, and capable—we create ripples of hope that can last for generations. And that, to me, is the true meaning of home.
