Hi Friends and Family, Last fall I stacked cords of wood for the Maine Huts and Trails and it was a blast! This year, I'm excited to join my book-club friends on a 'Women's Build' for Habitat for Humanity. Our work will help create a physical home for a worthy family and our fundraising will benefit the organization's mission of making homeownership affordable in Greater Portland for low-income families. In Support of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland partners with low-income families to provide them safe, affordable, and decent housing. This is accomplished through two primary programs. In the homeownership program, families earn a low-interest mortgage as we build them new homes from the ground up using volunteer labor. Our Critical Home Repair program provides affordable home repairs to make the client's home warmer, safe, or drier.
